Status: Applicant for Arizona Alternative Business Structure (ABS) Licensure. Law Bear is currently an applicant under the Supreme Court Alternative Business Structure program.

Direct Representation

Law Bear is being built to advance access to justice by directly representing injured clients in Arizona. Upon regulatory approval, Law Bear will operate as a personal injury firm providing direct legal services through licensed Arizona attorneys.

All legal decisions will be made by licensed attorneys acting independently and in the best interest of clients. Non-attorney ownership will not influence case strategy, client selection, or legal judgment.

Law Bear will maintain client confidentiality protections consistent with Arizona Rule of Supreme Court 42.

Ownership & Transparency

Chris Dreyer, CEO and Founder of Rankings.io, is seeking an ownership interest in Law Bear as a non-attorney through Arizona’s ABS program. Mr. Dreyer brings thirteen years of experience advising personal injury firms and is focused on marketing and operational expertise that helps the firm reach and serve more Arizonans who might otherwise go unrepresented. Law Bear has established its team, office, and operations in Arizona because the firm is built to serve this market.

Rankings.io, and Law Bear are separate entities with independent teams, financials, and operations. Law Bear does not compete in markets served by Rankings.io clients and will not solicit personal injury cases outside of Arizona.

Law Bear’s governance structure is designed to protect the independence, confidentiality, and professional integrity of the attorneys service clients:

  • Lawyer Independence: All legal decisions, including case strategy, client selection, and legal judgment, will be made exclusively by licensed attorneys acting in the best interest of clients. Non-attorney ownership does not influence these decisions.
  • Client Confidentiality: Law Bear will maintain confidentiality protections consistent with Arizona Rule of Supreme Court 42. Client information will not be shared with Rankings.io or any other entity.
  • Decision Authority: Legal matters are governed solely by the firm’s licensed attorneys. Business and marketing operations are managed separately, with clear delineation of authority so that no business decision overrides or interferes with a lawyer’s professional duties and responsibilities to clients.
  • Professional Standards: Law Bear is committed to maintaining proper standards of work and ensuring that all business policies and procedures support, rather than interfere with, the duties and responsibilities lawyers owe to their clients.
  • Compliance Oversight: Compliance Lawyer William Barfield is responsible for ensuring ongoing adherence to Arizona ethical and regulatory standards required of ABS firms. Governance policies are subject to periodic review to ensure continued compliance with the ABS program’s requirements.
